Ok so anyone on iOS 5 will realise that while icon themes work, the lockscreen strings are completely different, so does this mean we can't theme the lockscreen? Hell no!

All you need to do is open up your theme, then navigate to Bundles>com.Apple.Telephonyui

and add ~iphone to the end of each image, just before the .png so for example:

BarBottomLock@2x.png

becomes

BarBottomLock@2x~iphone.png

Step 1:

Create your theme folder and call it themename.theme, this is how winterboard knows its a theme, inside this you put your 320x480 wallpaper called LockBackground.png and also a folder called Bundles. Grammar is important in this.

Inside your Bundles folder you want to create 1 (or 2) folders. I'll explain what these folders do:

com.apple.Springboard, inside this folder you can put your own custom system strings files so that for example you can change your slide to unlock text etc.

com.apple.TelephonyUI, this is where you put the images that you want your lockscreen slider to be.
